It is a dazzling and powerful message about the power of kindness. I enjoyed the story and its message of hope. I adored how the words flowed. There were parts where the story was told rhythmically through rhymes.
As fantastic as this story is, the one thing that brought me pure delight was the artwork. This artwork is phenomenally beautiful. I believed that the author and illustrator used oil painting for the whole story. Most of the artwork is a mixture of impressionism and surrealism. There is one page that does not match. It is very bright and bold with a lot of patterns. However, each piece of art adds more to the story.
The only thing that I wished is that I can share this book with kids. With how everything is going with distance learning, it is hard to fit everything in the course of a few hours. However, I do believe that children will love the story and the artwork.
In the end, I do recommend this book to everyone. I know that everyone will enjoy the story as well as the artwork. The good news is that the book is currently available, so please go check it out.
